20 Adam Sandler Movies That Don't Suck

The art of this Brooklyn guy who creates comedy movies on his own factory of stars Happy Madison Productions for more than two decades is the subject of a long and fascinating discussion. There are viewers who don't accept his humor peremptorily. However, many others believe that the main message of each film with Adam is a good mood, love and the fact that there is always an exit from any situation. It is sometimes, by the way, in the same place where the entrance is.

12. Funny People, 2009

Although Sandler's role here is more serious than usual the film itself rather refers to a comedy genre. It was created by Judd Apatow, his protagonists are comedians and Apatow meditates on the topic "what it is to be a professional in making people laugh". Reflections, however, are mainly not very funny.

11. Punch-Drunk Love, 2002

The main Sandler's art experiment (and probably the only film with his participation that got into the Festival international du film de Cannes) remains this bizarre film by Paul Thomas Anderson who after a three-hour epos "Magnolia" decided to create a compact film, namely this faciful comedy about a guy who didn't know what to do with an overwhelming feeling of equally tenderness and anger.

10. Click, 2006

Another important typical decision of Sandler's filmography along with "Sandler and any kind of sport" or "Sandler and vacation in an exotic location" is "Sandler and strange magic stuff." Here is a remote controller which you can use to change your own life - rewind forward or back and live anew. The result - an indispensable triumph of family values and important lessons of life (like in any Sandler movie).

9. The Longest Yard, 2005

A good combination - Sandler and American football. This is the remake of an old American movie about a team of prisoners who go out to play against the guards. Comedy was virtually switched off - that did not prevent this movie from rising to a level of the most successful Sandler films. Again, we can clearly see: when Sandler stops making faces, he can be an incredibly charismatic and brilliant dramatic actor. It's a pity that the need to stop making faces doesn't visit him more often.

She is the bride and needs help in organizing a wedding, Robbie is ready to help. And she asks him to teach her how to kiss... 4. The Waterboy

Adam knows how to make fun of serious topics very kindly. This comedy is about a young man who believes that his mother (Kate Bates) is always right. The movie has something of Forrest Gump: Bobby, peddler of water, in his 31 years is same nice and direct as Forrest. Once an American football coach notices that demure Bobby in a fit of rage can play so good that everyone loses in contemplation. But what Bobby's mum thinks about it?

It turns out that Lucy suffers from losses of memory remembering everything that happened to her before the accident and not remembering what happened yesterday. Tears and laughter are guaranteed.

1. Big Daddy, 1999

A wonderful movie telling us that adult men are the same children. One fine morning Sonny Koufax gets his friend's son. The boy's mother died of cancer and the child was brought to his father who is away on a business trip. From this sad (again) story Adam managed to make a sweet and funny comedy. Watching the adventures of two boys, big and small, is very exciting. And, of course, a happy end and life lessons in there.
